ウラン濃縮などの核兵器開発に対する経済制裁を受けているイラン。経済制裁とは、対象国に国外から入手していた物資を欠乏させることによって国内的な問題が生じることを狙った外交政策の一環のこと。
1. 代替可能性が最小の商品を選んで規制すること。
2. 第三国からの経済支援を阻止すること。
3. 国内経済へのコストやマイナス要因に配慮すること。

オバマ政権はイランへの経済制裁措置を積極的に発動し始めた。制裁の対象はイラン企業や個人に限らず、同国の核開発やエネルギー部門を支援する外国企業を含むとのこと。（参考：中東・エネルギー・フォーラム リンク アクセス日：2011/9/30）
イランは経済制裁受けていて密輸ビジネスが横行している。国境の町で仲良くなったイラン人記者が副業でパソコンショップ始めたばかりだったがPCが価格.comとほぼ同じ値段で売られていた。密輸品だと思われる。外国企業はイランとの取引を控える ようになり、通貨リアルは下落し、正規の輸入品が割高になっているとのこと。実際インフレーションが起こっている。2〜3年前の金額と比べたら宿代などが全然違っていた。食費も思ったより全然高い。イ ランは石油の埋蔵が世界２位であるが石油精製能力があまりないとのことで石油を輸出しガソリンを輸入しているとのこと。ガソリンの輸入がもっと制限されて いき価格が上がっていけばいけば国民の不満はたかまるであろうが、今のところそういった不満を持っている人はそんなにいないように感じた。ガソリンは１ リットル４０円ほどであった。ちなみに国の財政赤字の原因は食料やガソリンに対する補助金のためとのこと。町には外国企業のレストランや銀行が見当たらな い。たいがいどこの国にもマクドナルド、スターバックスやシティーバンクなどはある。またイランでは外交上の問題からクレジットカードやキャッシュカード など完全に使用不可。
父親の還暦の祝いにとエスファハーンという町でチェスボードを購入。チェスボードを梱包してもらい郵便局向かう。しかし日本に送ることはできないという。イランは外交上の問題で輸出入の規制が行われているようだ。ちなみに７０センチほどもあるチェスボードは国境を越えてトルコにて日本へ送った。
Iran is imposed economic sanctions because this country is pursuing a uranium-enrichment program and working to develop nuclear weapons. Economic sanctions is one of diplomatic policies to hogtie export and import with regulations and it causes the problem to the country.

Smuggling is spreading out in Iran because of economic sanctions. I met Iranian journalist in the city near border and he said he started business of selling a computer nowadays, and the computers were as cheap as Japanese internet shopping site well known as cheap. The computers seemed smuggled product. Iran is the middle of inflation now, the price of accommodation and food were really different from a few years ago. Oil prospect of Iran is second in the world but they need to import gasoline because they don't have skill to refine crude oil. If the price of gasoline increased, people would complain against government. Additionally, the price of gasoline was around 50 cent for one liter (2011/09/10). Incidentally, the reason of budget deficit is for subsidy of food and gasoline. There was no foreign-capitalized restaurant and bank, usually McDonald's, Starbucks and City Bank are seem in the other countries, and credit card and cash card are non-usable completely.
My father will be 60 years old in this year. I bought chess board for my father as birthday present in Isfahan and I tried to send it to Japan in post office but they didn't accept it. I heard some products are restricted about export and import. Just to tell you, I brought the chess board which is 5 kilogram to Turkey and sent it to Japan.
