イランの首都テヘランからトルコ国境近くの町アブダビールまでのバスチケット買う時の事。そのときは9月7日だったのだが、「今日は9月15日です」とターミナルの係員みんなが言い張る。しつこく聞いたが、「何いってんだ今日は15日だ」という感じ。それはイスラーム暦の日付。この出来事には本当に驚かされた。本当にこの国は隔離されているのだと改めて実感させられた。国際的な標準の日付があることすら知らない人たちがいる。もし知っていたのならあの反応はない。購入したチケット見たらやはり１５日と印刷されていた。
国境なき記者団が発表した2010年世界報道自由度ランキングではワースト４を記録している。ちなみにあの北朝鮮はワースト2。民間放送もイスラーム法により禁止されている。イランでは全メディアが当局による支配を受けており、報道には文化イスラーム指導省の承認が必要。
そんな情報操作も影響してか、反米感情持っている人は多い。特に英語しゃべらない年配の人は、インターネットなど使わないので、特にだ。「アメリカNO、オバマNO」と質問すると答えていた。どんな情報が流れているんだろうか。旧アメリカ大使館を見に行ったときに壁に反米を表現した絵がたくさん描かれていた。写真撮ろうとしたら初老の男性に注意された。
若い人たちはインターネットから情報を得ているようだ。イランでは今ブログが大人気とのこと。ネットカフェでフェイスブック、ユーチューブ、CNNなんかを開こうとしたがフィルターがかけられていて見れなかった。だがネットカフェにも解除するためのソフトなんかが入れられていて頼んだらつなげてくれた。若い人たちはアメリカ批判するというよりはイラン大統領を批判する人が多かったように思える。
イランでは無神論者はその存在を認められておらず、信仰が露呈した場合死刑もありうる。また死刑内容に人体切断や石打ちなど残虐な刑罰が含まれている。また未成年者への死刑も行われていて、国際的な批判を浴びている。そんな人権侵害に対する若者の不満はアラブ諸国のように爆発するのだろうか。みんな不満は抱えているけど政府を恐れて行動には移せないの」知り合ったイラン人女性は悔しそうに言っていた。
I was planning to go to Ardabil which is near border from Teheran by bus and visited bus terminal. It was September 7, but every stuff in the bus terminal said ''today is September 15''. I asked again and again but they never changed their reply. That date was based on the Islamic calendar. Information is really restricted in this country. Some people don't know international standard date and this fact really made me surprised. The ticket was printed with Islamic date.
Reporters without Borders published world press freedom ranking of 2010 and Iran was ranked the worst 4. Additionally, North Korea was ranked the worst 2. Private broadcast is prohibited by Islamic law at Iran. Every media is controlled by the authority.
Some controlled information affects people who have mind against America, especially older people don’t speak English and use internet. They said ‘’America No!’’, ‘’Obama No!’’ when I talked to them. I was wondering how information flows in Iran. I saw many painting about against America on the wall in old American embassy. When I tried to take the pictures, some old man stopped me.
Young people seem to get information from internet. Many people write their own blog. Although I tried to access Facebook, You Tube and CNN, I couldn’t but the shop stuff connected this kind of page were blocked. Young people criticized Iranian president more than USA.
An atheist is not allowed and there is possibility to be executed when they are recognized as freethinker. The contents of death penalty are very cruel like mutilation and hitting by stone and execution is applied to minor this fact makes criticism from the many countries. Young people have complaint against this kind of violation. There is people’s pent-up discontent and would it become more spread like Arabian countries? ‘’Everyone has dissatisfaction but they are not able to make action because they are afraid of government’’. Some Iranian woman said.
